Let us introduce you do the revolutionary slip catching aid invented
and built by Leo Lindsay.
The aim is to promote hand to eye coordination with regard to catching
a cricket ball, primarily behind the wicket. As you will see in
the video clips, any number of fielders
can practice at the same time. This machine has been tested to receive
90mph bowling, and will not need adjusting once set up.
One obvious advantage is the machine's ability to cater for two
sets of slips, left and right hand, simultaneously, depriving waiting
catchers of any certainty. Our video will show the ball fizzing
around from wicketkeeper to backward point.
There are no moving parts, nothing
to break down and no power required.
The Batsman can be used indoors or out, on concrete or grass, so
portable that a teenager can wheel it along. It can be used at test
match speed or schoolboy level; the choice is yours!
